About Nabiha
I have a lot of experience in tutoring children in various subjects, math especially. In high school, I was a math tutor for elementary school students for two summers at a summer recreation center in Brooklyn, and I was also a mentor for a summer robotics program and a literacy program for third and fourth graders at an organization called MASA. In college so far, I have tutored at the local middle school for students in grades 6 through 8, helping them in any subjects in which help was required - including math, science, english, social studies and technological education. This passed semester, I also tutored an ESL student in learning English.
I have a lot of experience with tutoring, as I have included in my profile. I have been guided and trained for all of the tutoring jobs I have been a part of, and the training processes for Woodrow Wilson Middle School (the local middle school near my college, Weslyan University) and Paper Airplanes (through which I taught an ESL student English) were especially extensive.

I like to start off getting to know the students, such as which subjects they enjoy and are doing well in as well as those in which they have difficulty. Knowing which subjects they have difficulty in is obviously helpful as a tutor, but knowing which subject are easy for the student to master gives me a sense of the learning styles that work for them and help me understand the best ways to teach concepts with an individualized approach.
