About Courtney
I am a high school science teacher with 3 years experience in the classroom. I have also tutored 1:1 elementary to high school students for all subjects. Working 1:1 is my favorite and I build a rapport with each student to tailor my styles with their strengths and weaknesses. My style is motivational and growth-mindset oriented because we all learn better when we know we can do it.

I find out where they are in their subject and what their struggles are. I get to the root of the of the gap and work from there. This comes from my experience working with autistic, dyslexic, and other needs kids and adults. Finding each student's specific needs and how to address them is my speciality.

She has a very calming way of teaching. if I don't understand a concept she will try different techniques until I can wrap my head around new problems. She has also helped me get back in to math whenever I steer away from it for too long. VERY understanding and helpful.
