About Ranferi
I take the time to break down the material into digestible bits that best fit the capabilities of the students I tutor.
I really enjoy helping students understand concepts because that reflects my own ability to understand the topic, but also to teach others new things.
I began as a teaching fellow for BreakThrough Houston.
Last summer I was a BreakThrough Houston (BTH) teaching fellow for Algebra. I received intensive teacher training for 2 weeks and taught for 8 weeks. I also received coaching from veteran teachers every day. In my time at BTH I learned how to lesson plan, how to ensure students master the material, and how to keep students engaged and eager to learn.

First I get to know their personality to see if I can use certain aspects of their likes and dislikes to get certain topics across. For example, if they enjoy sports I might use a basketball analogy to explain parabolas.
