About Isabel
I'm really passionate about violin/music performance and world languages, thus I'm offering violin lessons online and Spanish tutoring. I'm currently a rising sophomore at the Eastman School of Music studying violin performance, and I've received the Illinois Seal of Biliteracy for Spanish, as well as passing the AP test. I was in accelerated math during my former school years, so I'm still pretty familiar with basic math and algebra.
I'm very patient with people and enjoy watching them problem-solve and grow in their knowledge and understanding of different subjects, particularly for music. It's always great to connect with new people as well!
I've studied under many prominent music teachers in the Chicago area - faculty from the Music Institute of Chicago's Academy as well as reputable teachers from Glenbrook North High School, so I've been exposed to different teaching methods and hope to share the best of them to new students. Particularly for music/violin, I've had many years of learning piano and music theory which has greatly expanded my approach and understanding of music.

I always ask them what it is they'd like to work on, and I work with their pace to guide them through the process of problem-solving. I always make sure that I'm not "spoonfeeding" and instead using questions to let them think as independently as possible to get the result they need.
