About Anita

Math is like a foreign language. Once you understand the language, Math starts to make sense.

I have been tutoring Mathematics for 25+ years. I enjoy working one-on-one with students helping them to complete homework assignments and studying for quizzes and exams.

I typically will meet with students in their home or at a public place like a library or coffee house. I'll figure out how the student learns best and use that information to help the student master the concepts they are working on.

I have always enjoyed Math and like to show others that once you understand the language of Math, you may enjoy Math as well.

I was a Mathematics major in college and have taught a few Math classes at my school. I have worked with learning centers and have had private students as well.

About the lesson

I will sit down with the student and figure out how they best learn. I typically complete homework assignments with them, checking to see if there is a step or 2 that they may be missing.

Deadly! Anita has been tutoring both of our high schoolers for five months in Geometry and Algebra 2. She started tutoring our kids halfway through the grading period and both of their grades went up an entire letter grade by the end of the semester. Both kids have developed an increased understanding of Geometry and Algebra, which is one hundred percent to Anita’s credit. In addition, she’s prompt and reliable. I can’t recommend her highly enough! Definitely worth every penny.

Anita is an exceptional teacher and warm an kind to every child she is tutoring. My both children - my son and daughter had an opportunity to be her students. Both of them struggled with math. After taking tutoring with Anita, both of them succeeded and had high grades in middle and high schools Anita is not only an excellent math tutor, she is the best teacher I have known who’s giving all her knowledge and hear to her students. Thank you Anita!

Anita tutored me when I was in High School and because of her I was able to learn and understand all of the advanced fundamentals that I was missing out on during school. I needed some one on one time when it came to Math and Anita more than helped me succeed in school and later in life as well. Thanks Anita!
