The sheer joy of seeing the students understand and eagerly try out the techniques that they are exposed to and sharing what kind of inspiration they had when writing a new piece of music is just so exciting for me to witness.

While I was at the University of Miami, I was the teaching assistant for the Professors and realized that I can give so much for the students with passion. I've taught four classes averaging 15 students and also dont private tutoring for a year

About the lesson

I typically take a day to understand where the student stands musically. It's a little different than understanding a student's musical performance to composition.

I'll also have to understand what the goal is, whether it be full orchestra or a short and sweet solo piece, when writing a piece so I can help guide to the best of my ability.

For example, if you want to understand classical composition, hire a teacher who can teach you coming from a classical perspective even if the teacher him/herself may not be a classical composer. This is very very important to keep in mind!

It really depends on the material that the student asks for!

Please keep in mind that there will be some software requirements and/or computer requirements for the student to own to effectively learn. Without some investments, it'd be like learning how to play the violin without the actual violin.

I'll be teaching the student everything that he or she needs to know to thrive in the Hollywood grounds.
