About Mike

As a member of the Professional Photographers of America, it is my duty to share my knowledge. I am constantly asked for help and to answer questions while at client sites and with friends and family. I enjoy answering questions as time allows. Email me with your question.

I graduated from Ball State University where I studied Photojournalism. I have had a camera in my hand just about every day since my senior year of high school. I have experience in many areas of photography.

About the lesson

The first step is to find out what the new student wants to learn about. Their new camera, basic photography, Photoshop, photo restoration, studio lighting, etc. Then we can set a schedule based on when we are both available. Students learning plans are flexible and custom made.

Middle school to senior adults. Students, moms and grandparents. All types welcome.

Find someone you are comfortable with. No one knows everything - me definitely included. Find someone who will admit they do not know the answer to your question, but are willing and know how to find the answers.

Indianapolis during the month of May - the Indy 500! I went for years and enjoyed every moment, but now I enoy visiting on slower days and listening to the race sitting on my dock.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Your schedule and time constraints. My pet peeve is people who are late or do not show up. And think through what you really want to learn about.
