About Michael
For nearly 14 years I have studied, practiced and worked in photography. I began my photography experience with a 35mm camera, developing rolls of film in a darkroom. I progressed to teaching myself digital photography and advancing my skills in Photoshop as a pro-retoucher. I have photographed more images than I can count, and am skilled at shooting and retouching photos that range from actors headshots to fashion editorials, and celebrity portraits to high-end commercial brands. Photography is my passion and my gift. I live my life always creating and with a camera in my hands because I can't imagine what I would do without it. I put that energy into every project I undertake, and it's my eye for detail and strong penchant for perfectionism that creates images that consistently exceed my client's expectations.
I taught in Masterclasses at Universities and enjoy lecturing in public forums, as well as advising and helping people interested in photography through social media.
I am primarily self-taught in photography and retouching, but I have taken a full semester class in photography where I learned the basics and how to develop images in a dark room. My education after comes from years of reading and studying my craft.

I like to discuss how much knowledge and experience they already have; what are their goals; and what is it they would like to learn, and provide weekly "real life" assignments that help the student learn and gain experience in the subject matter.
I've worked mostly with novices of photography and photoshop, and those interested in the craft as a hobby or to advance their skills to a professional level.
Be serious with your intentions to learn and study, and vet the teacher well based on their experience as well as the quality of their work
I recently led a Zoom class answering questions from dozens of individuals interested in photography and retouching
