About Chris

My service stands out through the work I do. In photographing portraits and weddings, it's working with people and making them feel at ease, giving attention to detail, and allowing their personality to to show through. In photographing landscapes, it shows in all the extra things I do to enhance a an average looking photo and make it look amazing. In teaching students, it's the individual attention I give to each and every person to help them acheive their goals and see them grow and blossom.

I love using my creativity to artistically connect with people. I love seeing their reaction when they see their photos and it brings them to tears.

On the teaching side, I love connecting with people in a way that sparks their creativity when they get that ah-ha moment and they realize how to use their camera in a way they never knew before. It's very satisfying to see the light bulb go on in someone as they begin to understand.

I've been teaching individual students for years.

I have over 35 years as a professional photographer. I am mostly self taught, but over the years I continually strive to keep learning through classes, seminars and programs.

About the lesson

First, find out what what level on knowledge they have, what kind of equiptment they have and what is it they'd like to learn.

From high school students through adults, to beginning professionals

Make sure they can teach you right at your level, wether it be beginer, expert, or somewhere in between. Make sure you like them, their photography and can teach you about the type of photography you are interested in.

I recently photographed a grandfather and his grandaughter who is about 2 years old. The photo session was by a nearby lake and I just followed the two of them around, every once in a while giving general instructions. There were so many adorable photos from that session, that the grandfather just had to order an entire album. They were such a pleasure to work with and the photos came out great if I do say so myself.
