About Shannon

While I've always helped fellow students when I've been in school, I actually was trained to be an instructor and evaluator while I was in the military. My time in a training squadron started me on the teaching path.

I have a degree in photography and have been working as a professional photographer since 2012.

About the lesson

First we sit down for an in-person meet and greet. This is your opportunity to see if I'm someone you want to learn from. If you decide you want to proceed, we'll have a chat to find out where best to begin by taking a look at your experience level, figuring out if there's a particular area you're most interested in, what you're looking to get from the lesson(s), and any goals you may have. We'll also discuss the way in which you feel you learn best so that, as much as possible, I can structure the lessons to your learning style.

I've primarily worked with teens and young adults who were, for the most part, self-starters.

Pricing depends in part on how far I need to travel, how long you're wanting each lesson to be and whether or not I need to supply equipment. For the most part, lessons average $60/hour.
