About Fletcher

I don’t just offer instruction on using creative software apps. I offer best business practices in tandem with instruction on how to use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

i also offer instruction on Adobe InDesign, document and publication design, illustration, and business graphic design techniques.

I have been a successful Art & Creative Director for nearly 30 years. And, I love it.

I had also taught Business Graphic Design at Shepherd College for nearly a decade. It was a thrilling experience and I want to be teaching again.

I was a non-commissioned officer in the US Navy and acquired leadership and instructional skills there first.

Afterward, I went to university to stufy graphic design in Pittsburgh, PA.

I then became a successful Art Director in the Washington, DC area working in both the advertising agency and in-house corporate marketing communications enviroments.

During that time, I was an early pioneer of using the computer as a creative tool. this was in 1986. By 1987, I was teaching Business Graphic Design at Sherpherd College in Shepherdstown, WV.

I studied graphic design at Carnegie-Mellon University and then at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh after serving in the US Navy as an Illustrator/Draftsman.

About the lesson

I want to know their intent—what their goals and expectations are. Then, I can build a curriculum that will propel them toward success professionally or for their personal creative goals.

Primarily, I have taught college-level students. However, as an Art/Creative Director, I have mentored numerous junior creatives within the workplace, growing and cultivating their creative skills.

I charge by the hour. My rates vary depending on your level of desired proficiency. I start at $25/hr for entry level instruction, which covers basic software instruction.

For more advanced instruction, which offers more in-depth software instruction, I offer basic design skills. This includes typograpy, color theory and composition instruction. This is $35/hr.

For the advanced design training, you can be taught in-depth design skills and mastery level of proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. The rate for this is $50/hr and you would receive a near college level equivalency training experience.
