About Carlos

Back in 1975 When I was 13 I became very interested in Photography after watching my brother print his black and white pictures in his darkroom. Since then, I studied photography at the same vocational high school and after graduating worked in various photography jobs, I sold cameras to professionals photographers and also worked in printing for the New York Magazine and book markets. After two years I went to college where I joined the school newspaper and became the editor of photography. Below I will attach some of my work from the GuruShots website as well as some of my favorite pictures, I have a great appreciation for Art and Music, I hope you enjoy my pictures

I’v been in the photography business for over 40 years and have done almost every aspect of photography, I’ve sold cameras, shot weddings, assistant to professional photographers, worked as a darkroom custom printer and worked with digital printers, I’ve photographed models, still life, music events, political events, street gangs, the birth of hip hop music, I was there when it started , baby pictures and general stock photography for websites, more recently I am supplying several hundred realtors with pictures of their listing and also branding and marketing the realtors to create their own identity and presence in social media like Instagram

About the lesson

My typical process for working with a new student is teaching the basics of lighting , then how to use the camera to capture the moment and I also will teach about fine tuning or editing pictures

My standard price is based on group volume so one student will be $10 per hour and 10 students will be 20% off or $8 or hour per student

I joined a fascinating website where photographers from around the world display their best work, it’s called Gurushots

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
A student should ask a teacher about learning techniques with the camera or the lighting or anything a teacher can contribute to help the students to better understand how to apply those techniques with each students creativity
