About Leitha
I am a licensed art teacher, but have been a lifelong teacher of not just art but horseback riding as well. I love working with students and teaching new ideas or techniques. It is so rewarding to see students succeed and gain new confidence in themselves.

Meeting and getting to know my students interests, so I can develop lessons that can draw on their interests. My lessons have an objective based on National Art Education Standards and include a strong base in the elements of art and principles of design. I use several approaches in my teaching style including but not limited to Project Based Learning (PBL), Discipline Based Art Education (DBAE), and Open Choice.
