About Maria d
I am a European Portuguese native and since I moved to Houston- TX I have taught European Portuguese to students in classes, one-on-one, and online. I have a master’s degree in Education, and I am a certified online instructor.
I am positive that I will help you get the results you need! I am Enthusiastic, Patient, and my teaching is Effective. I make learning Portuguese fun as we explore the language and culture through activities tailored to your specific needs.
Preparing for an upcoming business trip to Portugal, Angola, or Mozambique? Let me help
you with business customs and specialized vocabulary! Heading out for an extended vacation to Portugal? I can't wait to teach you some basics to make your vacation a success! Preparing to take the Caple exam? I'm here to prepare you to obtain excellent results! Wanting your children to learn their ancestors’ language?
As a trained teacher and because I love to teach, I fully understand the difficulties of my
students and they advance rapidly in their Portuguese learning with great results. Also, I
provide materials adapted to the needs of each student, so our lessons will be fun and easy!
Almost forgot, I love to talk about Portuguese culture, so expect to learn idiomatic
expressions used in the spoken language!
A little bit about me! I am from Portugal, I worked there as an elementary teacher, then I
took a master’s degree in School Administration from the Universidade de Ciências de Lisboa, and I became an Assistant Principal. I moved to Houston Texas in 2010, and since then I have been teaching students from all over the world for companies, universities, Air Force, hospitals, and private students.
Obrigada,
São
