About Julie
I will teach you basic sewing machine operation, serger usage, using your machine or mine.
Specialize in in home decor, simple clothing, following basic patterns, and accessories.
Mending and alteration instruction available. More complex projects available.
I have been sewing for 25 years and ran a nonprofit teaching refugees to sew here in Buffalo. I am happy to share my expertise with you!
My availability is limited to weekends or evenings. I do have Friday availability on alternate weeks. I work by appointment only.
I can teach at my dog-friendly home or yours (I’m severely allergic to cats and cannot teach at your home if a cat resides or has resided there). I’m also happy to meet at a public place, but bringing along the sewing machines may not be practical ;)
I teach sewing in the community.

$50/hour. I can provide some basic materials for initial learning, material for advanced projects (such as a handbag, item of clothing, pillow cover) must be provided by the student (with assistance).
