About Anuj
I have a Ph.D. from Oregon Health & Science University in Molecular Medical Genetics, the study of the processes that go wrong to result in inherited diseases and cancers, as well as a B.Sc. in Biology from Brown University, an Ivy League university. I have almost a decade of experience tutoring general Biology, Advanced Placement (AP) Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Molecular Genetics, Eukaryotic Cell Biology, and other, related subjects. I have received high ratings from many of my previous students, who have appreciated my ability to clarify complex topics, knowledge of the subject, and willingness to assist students however I can, as long as they seek to learn and understand the material. Hello and welcome. Biology, for me, is the study of the processes of life and how the interactions of these processes promote life. Thus, instead of treating Biology as a set of facts to memorize, I try to explain the logic of biological processes and how they achieve the outcomes needed to sustain life. Likewise, I try to make concepts as intuitive as possible, and, when it comes to applying those concepts, whether in helping with homework or problem sets, guiding a student in writing a lab report or research proposal, or explaining a published research article, I try to ensure that the student understands the reasoning underlying the application, so that it makes inherent sense. Regardless of whether you are a visual learner, prefer information presented in writing, or are comfortable with verbal learning, please know that I am willing to try multiple approaches to ensure that students are able to comprehend the material they need to learn. Depending on the subject, I teach anyone from the high school to post-graduate level, including Ph.D. students and adult learners. I hope you will give me the chance to help you and to share with you the elegance and beauty of the biological world.
