About Anass
I’m an educator, researcher, and lifelong learner passionate about English teaching. I hold a Master’s in TESL and am currently pursuing my PhD in Education. My research explores game-based pedagogy in enhancing English learning among secondary school teachers in Malaysia, using a qualitative exploratory case study with methodological triangulation. Through classroom observations, document analysis, and interviews, I aim to understand how technology-enhanced language learning (TELL), gamification, and educational games can transform teaching. I have four years of teaching experience—one year in a high school in my home country, one year volunteering at Al-Ikhlas school teaching refugee students in Malaysia, and two years as an online tutor. I believe in making learning engaging and meaningful, and I’m always looking for innovative ways to empower both teachers and students. Beyond academia, I recently had the opportunity to model for KOED at IIUM, and I deeply appreciate insightful and meaningful teaching—something I’ve experienced firsthand from great educators like Dr. Ismail. Teaching isn’t just a profession for me; it’s a mission to make a difference.

As a highly experienced English tutor with a Master’s in TESL and a PhD in Education, I offer engaging, interactive, and student-centered lessons. My teaching approach incorporates game-based pedagogy, making learning fun, immersive, and effective.
