About Hassan
Hello, I am third-year medical student at Imperial College London and education is my passion. Having completed my A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths and an AS in English Literature, all being of the new specification, I can provide a fresh and up-to-date tuition in these subjects. With more 3 years of experience on both face-to-face and online tutoring, it has allowed me to become confident with my methods of tutoring. Having an informed understanding of the subject matter is important but establishing a passion or something you like about a subject is much more important for me and is something that I encourage and strive for as I’ve found that is more linked to improvement and better exam-performance when the student actually enjoys what they learn!
Biology being a content heavy subject, teaching it in bitesize forms, breaking the entire syllabus down into manageable chunks and understanding the key processes will be an essential component. I often create a spreadsheet with all the content logically spaced apart along with scheduling dates to remind the student when they should go over the content again. This ensures that what they have learnt in my lessons sticks. Repetition in this spaced and scheduled format has been scientifically proven to dramatically increase performance in anything and especially exam-performance.
Subjects like Chemistry and Maths, which are more methodical and mostly calculation based, constant practise and testing is the method I plan to go by.
On the other hand, essay writing skills are what I will work on most when it comes to English Literature and paying closer attention to how ideas and readings can be made perceptive and insightful as that is where the marks are gained in an exam. I find it is most useful for the student to be encouraged
I also aid in medical school admissions, from personal statements and interview practise.
