About Cathy

I ask several questions of my students, wanting to know about their history of any injuries, issues, and concerns with yoga. Then, I ask what they want to achieve with their practice. Knowing these two things will help me provide my clients with the best sessions specifically for their needs.

I truly am passionate about helping others get healthy, not only in their body, but in their mind. Many people forget that yoga isn't just about physically getting into poses; it's also about focus, breathing, and lowering stress.

In early 2019, a couple friends of mine wanting to go to a yoga class, but were intimidated by it. They knew I had been practicing since 2013 and they started asking me questions about what is involved in classes. So, to calm their fears, I set up classes to teach them in a small group. I found I loved it, so I kept doing that on a regular basis. Then, I realized I wanted to teach in a studio, so in late 2019, I took and completed yoga teacher training.

Certified 200-hour YTT program graduate; certified in Chair, Restorative, and Hatha; certified Ayurveda Specialist.

About the lesson

I love connecting with any new student, asking about their lifestyle, as well as anything that will have an impact on how I set up my classes with them. This helps me to provide the best quality sessions individually for them.

I've worked with men and women, from ages 20-65, of all sizes and shapes. I've worked with people with old injuries, arthritis, recent surgeries, and general aches and pains.

Ask them a lot about the teacher's philosophy and how they will set up for a new client.

Details

Standard pricing is $50 per 60-minute session, or $150 for four sessions paid upfront. I am happy to negotiate larger packages, if that is what the student is looking for.
