About Monica

Monica Kruse was born and raised in Santiago of Chile, studied Bachelor of Arts with a mention in Theater and Communication, passionate about movement, body expression and health entered the school of kinesiology and physiotherapy in the faculty of medical sciences of the National University of Cordoba Argentina, where she deepened her scientific knowledge regarding the physiology and biomechanics of the body. Monica is a Hatha Yoga and Therapeutic Yoga Teacher certified by the Federation of Yoga of the Republic of Argentina and the International Union of Vital Yoga Teachers and by the School of Classical Yoga in Santiago, Chile. She is a certified Masotherapist by the International Foundation by Traditional Integrative Medicines (FIMIT). She is a Sports Monitor for people with disabilities, certified by the extension program of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the National University of Cordoba, Argentina. Her research has revolved around physical and spiritual health, connecting tools of body expression, dance, kinesiology, yoga, complementary therapies,fitness and nutrition, creating a holistic therapeutic system with which many of her clients have benefited. In parallel with her studies in the field of health and her theatrical career, her passion for music and traditional dances of African diaspora have been part of her continued research. Throughout 15 years she has participated in different workshops and training programs in Dance (Contemporary, Jazz, Bharatnatyam, Afro-Peruvian, Afro-Colombian, Afro-Brazilian, Afro-Cuban, Afro-Chilean, Argentine folk, Haitian folk, West African folk, Dancehall, Afro-house, Hip-hop), Percussion (Cajón, Sabar, Djembe y Doundouns) and somatic techniques (Feldenkrais, Alexander, Eutonia, Bartenief, Laban) in Chile, Peru, Argentine Brazil, Colombia, Bahamas, Republic of Guinea (Africa) and United States of America. She has been a member of many professional theater and dance companies in Chile and Argentina. She currently resides in Florida and is a certified Fitness and Nutrition Coach by NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) and AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) and a Florida State Licensed Massage Therapist.

Yoga lessons offered by Monica are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. Lessons are also available in Cape Canaveral. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.
