About Petra

I am a certified yoga therapist. I completed my 800-hours yoga therapy certification in 2015. I specialize in yoga for healthy aging and making yoga accessible for every body and helping people with chronic conditions apply the tools of yoga to increase their well-being. Breathing, centering, and relaxation practices are a crucial part of my teaching. I focus on helping my clients improve their mobility, strength, balance, increase awareness of their body and activities of the mind and start applying yoga tools to let their mind and body be their friend, not an enemy. My students have always appreciated my kind and compassionate attitude and creative use of props and poses.

I also specialize in yoga therapy for Parkinson's disease. I am a certified PWR!Moves instructor. PWR!Moves is a research based exercise developed for Parkinson's disease. I teach public classes for Parkinson's and private sessions.

I love helping people find more understanding of their bodies and minds and helping them feel better in their own skin. I love challenging them and showing them how strong and flexible they can become with regular practice.

I am a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT - certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists). I completed this 2-year program in 2015. Yoga Therapy is a holistic healing modality that uses yogic tools such as postures, breathing, meditation, relaxation, sounding, yoga philosophy to alleviate symptoms and increase the client's well-being. I am trained to work with clients who are impacted by common chronic ailments such as chronic pain, arthritis, osteoporosis, anxiety, etc.

I also specialize in Parkinson's disease. I am certified PWR!Moves instructor. PWR!Moves is a research-based, aerobic exercise designed to push back against PD symptoms.

About the lesson

I email my new clients an intake-form and have them fill it out. We dedicate part of the first lesson to going over their answers.
