About Laurie

Join me for yoga—right from home.

I’m Laurie, and I teach gentle, accessible yoga for adults 50+ who want to feel stronger, steadier, and more at ease in their bodies.

Right now, all of my classes are online, so you can unroll your mat wherever you are—living room, porch, beach condo—no driving, no fuss. My approach is relaxed, friendly, and welcoming. We move slowly and intentionally, focusing on breath, mindful strength, and creating space in the body. You’ll never feel rushed or out of place.

With 15+ years of teaching experience, I love helping students reconnect with their bodies in a way that feels simple, kind, and doable. Each class is designed to help you feel lighter, calmer, and more grounded in your daily life.

If you happen to live near New Smyrna Beach, Florida, I also offer private one-to-one sessions in your home.

Whether you’re brand new or returning to your mat after a long break, I’d love to support you on your yoga journey.

I started teaching to share the transformative benefits of yoga, helping students build strength, calm, and balance in their daily lives.

I am a certified yoga instructor with training in gentle yoga, restorative practices, breathwork, and meditation, and I continue to pursue ongoing professional development.

About the lesson

I start with a conversation to understand your goals, experience, and any health considerations, then create a personalized plan that blends movement, mindfulness, and relaxation.

I’ve worked with adults of all ages, including beginners, seasoned practitioners, and students over 50 seeking gentle yet effective yoga. I also support those recovering from injuries or seeking stress relief.

Choose a teacher who listens, adapts to your needs, and makes you feel safe and supported. Connection and teaching style are just as important as experience.

I recently led an outdoor yoga session on the beach. Watching students relax and connect with their breath in the sunrise was truly special.
