About Nancy
I have been practicing and teaching Yoga for 38 years, both here in Pensacola FL and in New York City, where I started my Yoga journey in 1983. My longevity and experience are, I believe, my strong points. I have led trainings teaching others to lead Yoga classes. Whether you are new to Yoga or a seasoned practitioner, or a Yoga teacher yourself who wants to strengthen their skills, I can help you. I am also a cancer survivor, and I definitely understand the changing body! While I enjoy a strong practice, I also appreciate the restorative aspects of yoga and the use of props to support poses.
I hold 2 certifications in Yoga, having received my first certification in India in 1990, and my second in NYC in 1995. Before receiving my first certification I apprenticed with my teachers in NYC and taught classes at their Yoga school.
I enjoy helping people keep their bodies flexible and strong, whatever their age. Because I have been practicing and teaching Yoga for as long as I have (38 years) I understand the changes that one's body goes through. I have also had 2 surgeries for 2 different types of cancer, and that has taught me alot about healing, and being respectful of one's health challenges. I love Yoga!
