About Gabriela

Gabriela's teaching is founded upon the strength and alignment of Ashtanga yoga while incorporating unique transitions that keep her classes engaging and fluid. She applies conscious breathing and engagement of the Bandhas (yogic locks), Drishti (focused gaze point) to bring a meditative presence into the poses. Emphasizing the feeling of the Asana rather than external appearances, Gabriela strives to make her classes accessible as well as challenging to students of all levels and body types, offering various modifications throughout class for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. Always bringing a sense of fun and spontaneity to her classes, she believes a mindful movement practice can bring more joy to all aspects of life!

I am truly fulfilled by helping people discover that they are capable of so much more than they ever believed, physically, mentally and spiritually. Growing up I was never athletic, in fact, I dreaded P.E. classes, especially stretching because I always felt I was "stiff" or "inflexible. Fast forward 10 years and I am a dedicated yoga practitioner that a lot of people would believe is naturally strong and bendy. However, if it weren't for the encouragement of my amazing teachers to keep on consistently practicing yoga and other forms of moving meditation I wouldn't be where I am today both physically and spirtiually. I am so grateful for their guidance on this path and I am honored to share the practice with you today. Namaste!
