About Marie
I hold a BSc in Mathematics and a UK Postgraduate degree in Education, bringing over 30 years of classroom teaching and tutoring experience to my students. As an active Edexcel examiner, I have a clear, insider understanding of how mark schemes work and what examination boards expect from high-achieving candidates.
My passion lies in helping students unlock the logic of mathematics, transform complex concepts into manageable steps, and achieve their academic goals. Over the past three decades, I have guided hundreds of students to achieve top grades in A-Level Mathematics and secure places at competitive universities.
I take pride in creating an encouraging, structured environment where students feel confident tackling challenging problems, sharpening their analytical skills, and mastering exam technique.

My lessons are designed for A-Level Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Statistics, Mechanics and university entrance exam candidates (MAT/TMUA) seeking top grades and university entry. With over 30 years of secondary and sixth-form teaching experience, alongside my role as an active Edexcel examiner, I focus on building deep conceptual understanding and mastering exam technique. I help students move beyond memorising formulae to mastering non-standard problem-solving and rigorous mathematical proof. Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, delivered online via interactive digital whiteboards where we work through step-by-step solutions together. Each session is structured around key topic areas, targeted past-paper questions, and examiner insights on how marks are awarded. Whether you are preparing for upcoming board exams, aiming for an A*, or preparing for competitive university entry tests, my approach provides structured guidance, clear explanations, and the confidence needed to excel.
