About Cynthia

I am a dedicated Physics tutor with over 6 years of teaching experience, working with students from KS1 to KS5 as well as 1st Year College. Throughout my teaching journey, I have supported learners of all abilities, helping them improve their understanding, boost their grades, and gain confidence in Physics.

My passion for teaching comes from making complex concepts simple and accessible. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach to suit individual needs, whether that means breaking topics down step by step, using real-life examples, or focusing on exam techniques.

I have extensive experience supporting students preparing for GCSE and A-Level exams, helping them master key topics, practise effectively with past papers, and develop strong exam strategies. Many of my students have achieved significant grade improvements through consistent guidance and structured learning.

I am patient, approachable, and committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace. My goal is not only to help students succeed academically but also to build their confidence and independent learning skills.

I offer structured, engaging, and student-focused Physics lessons for learners from KS1-KS5, as well as 1st Year College students. Each lesson is carefully tailored to match the student’s level, goals, and preferred learning style, ensuring steady progress and a positive learning experience.

My teaching approach emphasises deep understanding rather than memorisation. Physics can often feel challenging, so I simplify complex ideas into clear, step-by-step explanations that are easy to follow. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and actively participate during lessons, helping them build both confidence and independent problem-solving skills.

For GCSE and A-Level students, I provide focused exam preparation. This includes practising past papers, understanding mark schemes, improving exam techniques, and developing effective time management strategies. I also help identify weak areas and turn them into strengths through targeted practice and feedback.

For younger students, I create interactive and supportive lessons that build curiosity and a strong foundation in scientific thinking. My aim is to make learning Physics enjoyable and accessible from an early stage.

Each session may include concept explanations, guided problem-solving, exam-style questions, and personalised revision strategies. I also provide ongoing feedback so students can clearly track their improvement.

Above all, my goal is to help students achieve higher grades while developing a genuine understanding and appreciation of Physics. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel motivated, capable, and confident in their abilities.
