About Ryan

I’m a Financial Math & Economics student with a strong academic math background and experience helping students improve both their understanding and exam performance in Leaving Cert Math.

My approach is calm, structured and exam-focused — I prioritize clear explanations of core concepts and then reinforce them using past-paper questions so students know exactly how topics appear in the exam and how to pick up marks consistently.

Outside academics I’ve a strong sporting background, so I understand the importance of balance, routine and building confidence under pressure. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions while still keeping lessons focused and productive.

I work with 5th and 6th year Higher and Ordinary Level students — whether the goal is to pass comfortably, move up a grade, or push for top results.

About the lesson

I focus on both understanding the core concepts and applying them through exam questions. Many students can follow examples in class but struggle in exams, so my lessons centre on recognising common question types, understanding how marking schemes work, and learning reliable step-by-step methods.

Each lesson targets a specific topic, explains the theory clearly, and then practises multiple past-paper questions to build confidence and consistency under exam conditions.

Lesson length: 1 hour (weekly recommended)
