About Oisin
I am reliable, organized and easy to work with, and I take a professional approach to every lesson. I have developed strong communication and problem-solving skills through my Mechanical Engineering studies and industry experience with companies including Boston Scientific and Kaon Automation.
I understand that students learn at different speeds, so I aim to create a relaxed environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is to help students build confidence in their own ability rather than simply memorizing methods.
I am punctual, well prepared and committed to helping each student make steady progress throughout the year.

About the lesson

My lessons are focused on making Maths clear, practical and easier to understand. I break problems down step by step, explain the reasoning behind each method and then work through exam-style questions so students can apply what they have learned.
A typical lesson is 60 minutes. I usually begin by identifying the areas the student is struggling with, then focus on one or two topics using worked examples, guided practice and past exam questions. I also place an emphasis on exam technique, showing students how to recognise common question types and how to approach them efficiently.
I am a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of Galway and am currently completing a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering. I achieved 590 points in my Leaving Certificate, including a H1 in Higher Level Maths.
My lessons are suitable for Junior Cycle and Leaving Cert students of all ability levels, whether they need help understanding the basics, want to improve their confidence or are aiming for a higher grade.
