About Pasindu
Hi, I’m Pasindu, a UCAT & Medical Admissions tutoring specialist. I'm a current MD3 medical student at the University of Queensland, with a 96th percentile UCAT score and a scaled ATAR of 99.95 from Glenunga International High School in South Australia. Having personally navigated the path to medical school, I understand just how challenging (and competitive) the journey can be. Since 2020, I’ve supported hundreds of students through UCAT and medical/dental interview preparation. Many of them have gone on to achieve 3000+ UCAT scores and offers into top medical and dental programs across Australia. I’m also the founder of Strive Academics, where we specialize in high-performance tutoring for UCAT, interviews, and academic support. My teaching style is built around exam-tested strategies, a question-based approach, and helping you improve accuracy first, then speed under pressure. Most importantly, I believe in studying smart, not endlessly. I promote balance and well-being because top applicants don’t need to burn out to succeed. Outside of medicine, I’ve represented South Australia in athletics and continue to stay active through soccer, tennis, and pickleball. As a current University of Queensland Medical Student and founder of Strive Academics, I’ve helped over 500 students gain entry into competitive courses such as medicine and dentistry. My approach is results-driven, personalised, and built around question-based learning of exam-tested strategies.
I focus on three pillars:
Accuracy first – mastering the foundations before speeding up
Time efficiency – once accurate, we build rapid and reliable performance under pressure
Accountability – we create a clear plan and I keep students on track every step of the way
Teaching Style & Methodology
I believe in active learning. My lessons centre around real exam-style questions, helping students break down problems, apply high-level reasoning, and build lasting confidence. I don’t just give the answer—I teach the thinking behind it, so students can apply it independently.
Lesson Format
Lessons typically run for 60–120 minutes, depending on the student’s needs. Each session includes targeted strategy instruction, timed practice, and review of performance with actionable feedback.
Who I Teach
I work with high school students and post-grads preparing for competitive entry pathways such as UCAT, medical/dental interviews, and scholarship exams. Most of my students are aiming for the top 10%—and I equip them with the skills to get there.
