About Elias

Hi, I’m Elias. I am an Industrial Economics graduate from the University of Nottingham, a CFA Level I passer and a finance professional.

I have a strong academic and practical background in finance, economics, valuation and quantitative subjects. During university, I also managed one of the UK’s largest student-run investment funds, which gave me practical experience in investment analysis, financial markets and presenting ideas clearly.

My experience has helped me develop a structured approach to solving problems and explaining complex topics in a straightforward way. I am patient, approachable and professional, and I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, goals and preferred learning style.

I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, identifying gaps in their knowledge and building confidence.

My lessons are particularly suitable for university students, CFA Level I candidates and graduates preparing for finance-related roles or technical interviews.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m Elias. I offer online tutoring in finance, economics and CFA Level I topics for university students, graduates and early-career professionals.

My lessons are practical, structured and tailored to each student’s goals. I begin by identifying your current level, areas of difficulty and target outcome, whether that is improving your understanding of a topic, preparing for an exam or getting ready for a finance interview.

I focus on explaining concepts clearly before applying them through worked examples, practice questions and real-world scenarios. Rather than relying on memorisation, I help students understand the logic behind topics such as financial statements, valuation, corporate finance, economics, quantitative methods and investment analysis.

A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes. Longer 90-minute sessions are also available for exam preparation, technical interview practice or more detailed topics. At the end of each lesson, I summarise the key points, identify any remaining gaps and suggest areas to practise.

I graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Industrial Economics, passed CFA Level I and currently work in financial services in the City of London. My academic background also includes A-level Mathematics, Physics and Economics.

My lessons are suitable for university students studying finance, economics or related subjects, CFA Level I candidates, and graduates preparing for finance or valuation roles. I adapt the pace and difficulty of each lesson to the student’s level and learning style.
