About Sean

Ready to transform your Maths challenges into confidence and success? As a First-Class Aerospace Engineering graduate (MEng Hons) from the University of Nottingham, with a 78% degree average and a Year in Industry placement in Landing Gear Engineering at Airbus, I bring a strong academic foundation and real-world application to my tutoring. I achieved A*s in A-Level Maths and Further Maths, and a 9 and A* in GCSE Maths and Statistics (all Pearson Edexcel), demonstrating a deep understanding of the curriculum.

With over 4 years’ experience tutoring Maths to students between Year 9 and Year 13, I’ve helped them significantly boost their confidence and grades.

I am passionate about helping students achieve their potential, and love seeing the positive impact I can have on their futures. I share the techniques and strategies I developed during my own studies to help students improve their skills and results, ensuring they develop confidence that lasts well beyond exam day.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to each individual, focusing primarily on the topics they find most challenging. I believe in building foundational concept understanding first, then moving on to related problem-solving, providing feedback to refine skills, and regularly incorporating past paper questions to prepare them thoroughly for exams and familiarise them with different question styles.

For online lessons, I utilise collaborative tools such as Miro to guide students through exercises while encouraging them to take initiative and become independent learners. I strive to make lessons productive and enjoyable, helping students see Maths as an exciting challenge rather than a chore.

He studies at St Dominics College in Harrow on the Hill which has been recognised as the best 6th form college in the country by “The Times” in 2016.
