About Gordon

Hi, I'm Gordon. I'm a First Class Honours graduate, professional musician and experienced teacher currently studying graduate-entry medicine in Scotland. Teaching has been a central part of my career for many years, and I genuinely enjoy helping students grow in confidence and achieve goals they may not have thought possible. My approach is patient, encouraging and tailored to each individual, recognising that everyone learns differently. Whether you're aiming to improve your biology grades, prepare for the GAMSAT or take the next step towards medical school, I'm committed to helping you succeed through clear explanations, effective study strategies and a supportive learning environment.

About the lesson

Every student learns differently, so my lessons are tailored to your individual goals, current level and preferred learning style. I focus on building genuine understanding rather than memorisation, breaking complex topics into manageable concepts and using active recall, practice questions and exam-focused techniques to build confidence and long-term retention.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged for GAMSAT preparation or intensive revision. I provide a structured plan for each session while remaining flexible enough to focus on areas where students need the most support.

I am a First Class Honours graduate, an experienced teacher with many years of one-to-one and group teaching experience, and I am currently studying graduate-entry medicine. Having achieved a 76% distinction-level average in my first year of medical school, I understand the demands of a rigorous science curriculum and enjoy helping others develop effective study habits and exam strategies.

I offer tuition for National 5, Higher, Advanced Higher, GCSE and A-Level Biology, as well as GAMSAT preparation, medical school admissions and pre-clinical medicine. Lessons are suitable for teenagers, adult learners and graduate-entry applicants looking for supportive, high-quality tuition.
