About Alice
My name is Alice. I am 22 years of age. I recently returned from volunteering at Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary in Ontario, Canada. I graduated in July 2023 with a First Class Honor's degree in Biochemistry with Professional Studies from Queen's University, Belfast. I am interested in pursuing a career in scientific research and in September 2024 I will begin my Master's degree in Cancer and Molecular Diagnostics. I have always had an interest in teaching and now that I'm not studying and have a bit more free time, I would like the opportunity to explore this interest. I believe my interest initially stemmed from being the eldest girl in my family and helping my two younger sisters with their homework and exam preparation. This interest deepened when I completed a placement in St Patrick's Primary School in my final year of school. Throughout my A-levels, I tutored math's and science to junior school students, and had the opportunity to assist in the set up and demonstration of GCSE and A-level Biology, Chemistry and Physics experiments whilst working as a Junior Science Technician in Assumption Grammar School.
