About Serena
I am patient and utilise multiple different teaching methods that I have learnt over the years to ensure that your child is able to grow and develop their academic skills, whilst feeling completely supported. I myself have also achieved 11 A*s at IGCSE, and AAB at A-Level, as well as a First Class Degree from the University of Warwick. I have helped tutor multiple students through their academic journey, seeing grade improvements all across the board from Ds to Bs/As and A*s.

Hi there! I have extensive experience as a tutor (2+ years), working with students to improve their understanding and ability of any topic or subject they might struggle with. I also aim to make sure that every session is enjoyable and fun for the child, as this is so important for their continued learning and ability. I want to make it so that tutoring isn't such a daunting experience, and so they will always look forward to a lesson with me! I am able to offer 1 - 2 hour lessons in which we cover the basics and understanding of the topic. We then would go over different types of questions and problems they might run into, regularly checking in with the student to make sure they feel comfortable with the content and their own understanding. By the end of the session, the student will feel well-equipped to tackle any problem that comes their way!

Serena was a great tutor to me and very easy to get along with which made the sessions very comfortable. She was my tutor in Economics during Sixth Form and helped me to achieve a grade B in my A level exam this year. As the topic was completely new to me Serena definitely helped to further my understanding and fill in the knowledge gaps I had with the topic.
