About Daniel
I recently graduated from the University of Liverpool with a First-Class degree in Mathematics. During my degree I studied a range of areas including pure mathematics, statistics and applied mathematics.
One of the reasons I decided to start tutoring is because of my own experience throughout school and university. I was taught by some excellent teachers and lecturers who could explain difficult topics in a way that made them easy to understand, but I also experienced occasions where explanations were less clear. This made me realise how important good teaching is and how much of a difference it can make to a student's confidence and enjoyment of a subject.
Because of this, I aim to explain maths in a clear and straightforward way, encouraging students to ask questions whenever they are unsure. I know from experience that students can sometimes understand a topic perfectly once it has been explained from a different perspective.
As a recent graduate, I understand the challenges of studying mathematics and preparing for exams. Whether a student is looking for extra support with a difficult topic or aiming for the highest grades, I will do my best to help them achieve their goals.

I am a First-Class Mathematics graduate from the University of Liverpool offering tuition in GCSE Mathematics, A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics.
My aim is to help students understand topics that they find difficult and improve their confidence in maths. I focus on explaining methods step-by-step, working through examples together and then giving students the opportunity to try questions themselves. I believe maths becomes much easier when you understand the reasoning behind a method rather than simply memorising it.
Lessons are usually one hour long and can be taught either online or in person in Sheffield. Before lessons, I like to find out which topics a student is currently studying and which areas they are struggling with so that sessions can be focused on what will help them most.
Although I am new to tutoring, I recently completed a First-Class Mathematics degree and have experience studying a wide range of mathematical topics, including pure mathematics, statistics and applied mathematics. Having recently finished university, I understand many of the challenges students face when learning new topics and preparing for exams.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE, A-Level and Further Mathematics students of all abilities, whether they are looking for extra support with difficult topics or aiming for top grades in their exams.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
I am pleased to recommend Daniel for tutoring opportunities. I have known Daniel since 2025, when he participated in an exchange program in Thailand and worked with me on a research project involving the application of mathematics to improve English football league prediction.
Throughout his time here, Daniel consistently demonstrated intellectual ability, curiosity, and dedication to learning. He was actively engaged in all aspects of the project and frequently asked thoughtful questions to deepen his understanding of concepts. His willingness to seek clarification and pursue knowledge beyond the immediate requirements of the project reflected a genuine enthusiasm for learning.
Daniel is also an independent and effective problem solver. He readily took initiative when faced with unfamiliar challenges and showed strong analytical skills in developing solutions. In terms of his mathematical and statistical abilities, he is a quick learner who grasps new concepts with ease and can communicate them clearly to others.
Based on my experience working with him, I am confident that Daniel possesses the knowledge, communication skills, and professionalism necessary to be an excellent tutor. I recommend him without hesitation and believe he will be a valuable asset to any tutoring program.View more recommendations
