About Annie
I attended Baylor University and graduated in 2023 with my Bachelor of Science in Education. I teach 1st grade, and I have two years under my belt. I also taught 2nd grade for 1 year. I have lots of experience helping students learn and gain confidence in their number sense, computational fluency, and word problem-solving skills.

I like to make lessons enjoyable and engaging. I don’t just teach for memorization, I teach for understanding. I want to help students learn how and why, not just what to do.
I got my Bachelor of Science in EC-6 education from Baylor University. I use the I do, we do, you do method. I try to model some examples, then practice together with the student, and finally give some independent practice. I also believe in productive struggle though. It’s important for students to practice the hard skill they are working on without jumping in to help find the answer right away.
