About Violet Hope
Hello, I hope I can be of assistance to your education. I would describe myself as friendly and chatty. I am in my first year studying Psychology at the University of Bristol and just finished my A-levels this summer, so I know what it is like to be in the trenches of exams and doing subjects you may not like. The main exam boards I took were AQA and Edexcel during GCSEs and A-levels, so if you also are on those exam boards, I’m sure I can provide helpful advice.

My strongest subjects are in the humanities. My approach to teaching a lesson will be focused on the required technique for writing essays more so than the memorisation skills of the content. This will include making essay and question plans the students can use for the future, as well as giving them past questions I will then mark to give helpful feedback. My main priority will be teaching them how to use evidence from the question and the content they have previously learnt to make a compelling argument. The typical length of the lesson I am happy to last is for an hour to two hours, as writing paragraph-style questions and providing feedback on such requires time. My experience with being a teacher is in year 13, I taught a taster Psychology class with my fellow classmates to year 10s. The group I would like to teach are GCSE and A-level students in the subjects I took. However, I would also be happy to tutor younger years from secondary and primary.
