About Olga
I am a doctoral candidate in the sciences who has Grade 9 Royal Conservatory of Music certification for Flute. I have been teaching private flute lessons for 2 years and strive to make music accessible and fun for all young students!

I base classes around creating a fun and productive environment for each individual beginner flute student. I work through repertoire that prepares students for RCM Exams and am open to playing pop pieces / other repertoire that the student chooses, as long as we are having fun and progressing musically. Classes will introduce students to the great composers in history, how to read music, and basic music theory, based on the scope of the students music background. I have begun teaching online during the pandemic, I only taught in person before. It is a challenge for new students compared to in person lessons, especially for proper form on a new instrument. However, there are some tools I have found online that make adapting to online learning a bit easier.
