About Madeleine
I'm a lifelong musician and I love sharing my love of playing the flute with other musicians. I've taught the flute online for two years, working with both adult and young adult learners. I'm working on a diploma in both flute and piano, and have an advanced knowledge of music theory, so can provide sessions on a wide range of topics in music theory, improvisation, harmony, jazz, flute technique and development, music production and more.
Friendly and relaxed style of teaching, with goal-focused sessions tailored to your individual needs. Offering lessons online using zoom or your favourite platform, and experienced in teaching both adult and young learners. From June 2022 onwards I'm looking to take on 3 more students so contact me soon!

My approach to teaching is pupil-centred, based on working to meet their particular targets. Some people want to fly through the grades as fast as possible, some play the flute just for the joy of it, and my lesson plans and tutoring will reflect that. With the flute in particular my focus will be on teaching the pupil to listen to their own playing and self-correct, in order to be fully in tune with their own playing (no pun intended).
