For absolute beginners getting their hands on the guitar and an introduction to the basics of the music theory used in pop. By the end of the first hour playing a very simple song and an understanding of placing the fingers. For more advanced players a discussion about the direction they want to go. Either in addressing weaknesses or taking their technical skills to a different level.
