About Kraig
I received my Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University in New York with a dual major in History and Italian Studies with a minor in Political Science. I pursued this course of study because of a deep fascination with the past and how it affects the present. It inspired me to pursue a Master of Arts from the Fordham Graduate School of Arts and Sciences in Modern World History so I could study and analyze a specific era in history that I believed to be one of the most impactful throughout the course of recorded human history. I have studied a wide array of historical subjects, from historical theory, pedagogy, and research techniques, as well as American history, European history, and Orientalist studies. I am an enthusiastic and sociable individual and am very passionate about the study of history. Understanding history, civics, and politics has led me to law school where I am currently a J.D. candidate and have succeeded and thrived as a result of my academic background. I look forward to meeting and teaching any prospective students of history in the future!

Italian
I was taught using the Socratic method, which is the most conducive to learning history, civics, and associated topics. I will employ this same method and engage students in conversation to get them to think critically about the material.
A typical lesson plan will consist of a brief PowerPoint regarding the topic, followed by a discussion of relevant scholarship and readings, and then an open conversation for the student to engage with the material and ask questions.
I can prepare lessons for high school or college students in a wide variety of courses, primarily focusing on American and European history.
