About Beatrice
A Little Bit About Myself: I was born and raised in NYC. My two favorite things to do are hang out with my friends in the city or cozily cuddle up with a good book and a cup of tea or wine. My absolute favorite movie is Freaky Friday (2003). That being said, I want you to know that I am not a robot, nor do I expect any student to be. Self-care is just as important as discipline! I’ve explored several paths toward my career and have experience applying to graduate school, medical school, and PA school, as well as preparing for the GRE, MCAT, and graduate-level competency exams. As your tutor, I am happy to guide you through more than just classes, because you are more than just a grade or degree! My ultimate goal as a tutor is to help students reach their goals beyond the classroom by providing them with the tools necessary to not only pass their classes, but also navigate through the process of applying to schools, prepping for exams, and choosing the right career.

My job isn't to give you answers but to help you build the skills and confidence to reach them on your own.
Each session begins with identifying your challenges regarding the class or topic. From there, we will work together to tackle these challenges by introducing new strategies, breaking down the material, and strengthening your confidence surrounding the material. By the end of the session, we will work on guided practice together using these new tools.
I firmly believe that tutoring is not solely about expertise. It is also about listening, adapting, and understanding how YOU learn best. I have been on both sides of tutoring, giving me a unique insight into how transformative and useful it truly is.
My lessons are designed for high school and college-level students with a focus on pre-medical studies (PA, DO, MD, DPT, etc.) I have a B.S. in Biology and an M.S. in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Cellular and Molecular Biology. My tutoring focuses on Biology Classes (Gen Bio, Microbiology, Molecular/Cellular Biology, Genetics, A & P, Cancer Biology, etc.)
