About Chris
I’m Chris, a friendly, approachable and patient tutor who is passionate about helping students build confidence and achieve their potential in Maths and Further Maths. I understand that every child learns differently, so I take time to identify how each student thinks and tailor my explanations to suit them.
My focus is not just on improving grades, but on developing understanding, confidence and strong exam technique. I create a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, while still being challenged to progress. Sessions are structured, engaging and delivered with clarity, professionalism and encouragement.

Every student learns differently, which is why each session is carefully tailored to the individual. I continually assess a student’s understanding and progress, allowing sessions to adapt in real time so that time is always used effectively. Whether a student needs to build confidence with core topics, aim for the highest grades, or tackle the most demanding Further Maths content, my approach adjusts to their pace and goals.
Tuition is never one-size-fits-all. I focus on the areas that will make the greatest impact, explain concepts clearly and logically, and teach strategies aligned with the relevant exam board. With this approach, students move beyond memorising methods to developing genuine understanding, confidence, and the skills needed to perform consistently in exams.
