About Dan

I’ve been coaching for several years, having competed professionally in the past. This competitive experience is something I bring into every session, offering insights and techniques that have helped me succeed at the highest levels. But don’t worry, I won’t overwork you every time (!), as I take pride in conveying a competitive and professional ethic through a relaxed and fun environment that all players can sink their teeth into. Whether you’re looking to perfect a specific technique, refine weaknesses into powerful strengths, or get competition-ready, I’ll tailor each session to your goals. If you're preparing for competitive play, I’ll walk you through the strategies and mental approaches that professionals use to give them the best chance to win. Or, if you're just focused on improving your hitting skills, I’ll help you build a stronger fundamental understanding of the game, all while ensuring you have a great time on the court. My goal is to make each session enjoyable and tailored to your individual needs. Tennis should be fun, challenging, and fulfilling – and that’s exactly what you can expect when you work with me!

I’m Dan, a former national tennis player and a fully licensed LTA coach with years of experience in the game. Having competed at the highest levels, I understand not only the technical demands of tennis but also the mental and physical dedication required to excel, and hopefully armed with my knowledge I can help you take your game to the next level and generate immediate results - whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced player! My coaching philosophy is centred on creating a fun, engaging, and supportive environment where you can truly enjoy the game while developing your skills. I believe that the best way to improve is through a balance of focused practice, positive encouragement, and a healthy dose of enjoyment. Tennis is as much about having fun as it is about mastering technique, and that’s exactly what you can expect from every session with me. Whether you’re looking to improve your technique, develop match strategies, or simply enjoy a great workout, I tailor each lesson to your specific needs and goals. I look forward to working with you and making tennis an exciting and rewarding part of your life!
