About Steven
My name is Steven, and in my day-to-day life, I am a marine biologist living in Gold Beach, OR. I have a bachelor's degree in biology from UCR and master's degree in biology from CSUF. I have been tutoring for over 10 years. In my free time, I enjoy going on hikes, playing video games and trading card games, and exploring the great outdoors.

I typically tutor students grades 8+ taking life science, biology, or any related subject. Oftentimes, students know what they need to work on, but they have difficulty putting it into practice. In my first session with a student, I like to ask students what they feel they need to work on and come up with a game plan to help address any problems. In the following sessions, I check in with students to see how our plan is going, then address any questions that they might have. My methodology revolves around empowering students rather than simply giving them answers and busy work. I like to make my students feel comfortable by getting to know them personally, so they know I care.
