About Helen
Biology and Physics GCSE Teacher for 13 years. General Science teacher at Key Stage 3.
I have tutored Science privately for 8 years from student ranging from A*-D grade.
I have tutored 32 students over those years and 29/32 achieved the GCSE grade that they hired me to help them to achieve. (I wish that was 100% success, but a few students who found exams extremely difficult missed their grades slightly).

Hi there. I have been teaching in 3 secondary schools for 13 years and although my Degree (BSc Biology 2:1 Hons) is in Biology, I have also taught GCSE Physics throughout this time, to all ability levels so am able to teach both of these areas. I am very friendly and love pets, so if you have any, you do not have to lock them away when I am around :-)
My normal teaching style is to arrange in advance what topic you want to cover. This is often usually an email or text message a few days before the session. This is so that I can bring materials with me, which usually includes information handouts, worksheets and past exam questions. I bring whatever the students needs. I bring my laptop so that I can show quick demonstrations of experiments or interactive activities which aid understanding.
