About Zain
I am a 23 year old teacher from Canada who is new to the UK and has experience teaching all of the humanities and financial education. I bring a fun and youthful approach to tutoring, making sure that I learn and attend to the student's needs and interests in any way possible.
I love all sports, especially volleyball, basketball, and ice hockey. I think being a student is like being an athlete and I always try to tie in sports or even movie related concepts into my lessons.
I also think that social media is an underrated tool for education and have experience using it as a way to help students better understand certain concepts (e.g by analyzing Instagram or Twitter pages to understand a person or party's perspective on an issue).
You will NOT be disappointed working with me, I can guarantee a fun and informative session any time you please!

I have been tutoring for the past 5 years and take a student centered approach to each of my sessions, placing the student's needs at the forefront of each lesson. I always ensure I am not bombarding students with information by constantly checking in with students what THEY need and want at all points of my lessons.
I love to use humour and real life examples/connections to help students understand the content as much as possible. I understand that students are heavily involved with social media in today's day and age, so I typically enjoy using appriate avenues on different platforms to help them learn about specific content. I love sports and movies and always try to make connections with these wherever I can- especially MARVEL superhero movies/shows.
Not all lessons should be one or two hours long- I believe students should be able to dictate what they need and be in control of how much extra instruction they require.
