About Kate
Hi! My name is Kate, and I'm a highly experienced Chemistry and Maths tutor with a PhD in Chemistry and experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including research at GSK and work in pharmaceutical consulting. I also hold a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Durham.
Over the years, I’ve combined my academic background and professional experience with my passion for teaching, supporting GCSE and A-Level students, as well as university undergraduates, to strengthen their understanding, improve exam performance, and develop confidence in STEM subjects.

I offer personalised, interactive tutoring in Chemistry and Maths, drawing on my PhD in Chemistry, pharmaceutical experience and years of tutoring GCSE and A-Level students. My lessons are structured yet flexible, designed to make complex concepts understandable, engaging, and enjoyable.

Whether your goal is mastering tricky topics, improving exam performance, or building confidence in STEM subjects, I approach every lesson with patience and creativity, while always keeping results in focus.
Lessons are typically 60–90 minutes long, delivered at a pace that suits each student, in an interactive and welcoming environment where I ensure they feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas. My approach supports students at all stages, from those building their foundations in Chemistry and Maths to GCSE and A-Level learners.
