About Egheosase

Hi! I'm a University of Chicago graduate with a degree in Cognitive Science and several years of experience in psychology, neuroscience, biology, and clinical research. Throughout college, I worked in multiple research labs and collaborated with physicians, scientists, and patients, giving me a strong understanding of both the science and how to communicate it clearly.

I know firsthand that every student learns differently. Some people need to see a concept visually, others learn best by talking it through or working through practice problems. My job is to figure out what works best for you and create lessons that are engaging, supportive, and personalized to your goals.

Students can expect a patient, encouraging, and judgment-free learning environment where questions are always welcome. I believe the best tutoring isn't about giving answers - it's about helping students build the confidence and problem-solving skills they need to succeed on their own. My goal is for you to leave each session understanding the material more deeply and feeling more confident than when you arrived.

Whether you're preparing for an exam, trying to improve your grades, or simply looking for someone who can explain difficult concepts in a way that finally makes sense, I'm here to help. I'm committed to being reliable, well-prepared, and invested in your success, and I'll work with you every step of the way to help you reach your academic goals.

I know that science can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you're trying to memorize lots of information or keep up with a fast-paced class. My goal is to make learning feel less stressful and more enjoyable by breaking down complex ideas into simple, relatable concepts that actually make sense.

Every student learns differently, so I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. During our first lesson, we'll talk about your goals, identify the topics you're finding challenging, and figure out the learning style that works best for you. Whether you learn through visuals, practice problems, discussion, or real-life examples, I'll tailor our sessions to help you build confidence and truly understand the material.

A typical lesson starts with a quick review of what we've covered before, followed by working through new concepts together. We'll solve practice questions, talk through difficult topics step by step, and end with a recap of the most important ideas. Along the way, I'll share study techniques and test-taking strategies that have helped both me and the students I've worked with succeed.

As a University of Chicago graduate in Cognitive Science with experience in psychology, neuroscience, biology, and clinical research, I've spent years studying not only science but also how people learn. That means I can explain challenging concepts in different ways until they click. I love seeing that moment when a student goes from saying, "I don't get it," to "Oh, that finally makes sense!"

I work with middle school, high school, and college students taking biology, psychology, neuroscience, and other introductory STEM courses. Whether you're preparing for an upcoming exam, hoping to improve your grades, or simply want to feel more confident in class, I'm here to support you every step of the way. My goal isn't just to help you succeed on your next test—it's to help you become a more confident, independent learner.
