Hey there,

I'm Chris Blonski, and my journey is a blend of grit, growth, and a relentless passion for the arts. Born in Torrance, CA, to Peruvian and Polish parents, my story is grounded in real-world experiences that have shaped my approach to teaching.

Early Life and the Power of Performance:
Growing up in the challenging neighborhoods of Inglewood, I found refuge in the world of theater from a young age. From kindergarten performances to tackling Shakespeare's complexities in 7th grade, the stage became my canvas for expression and resilience.

Transformation at CSULB and Beyond:
Navigating the challenges of juggling a full-time job and academics at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), I honed my skills under the mentorship of the incredible Alexandra Billings. Despite initial struggles, I emerged as a more responsible and focused artist.

Professional Journey and Artistic Mastery:
Post-graduation, I ventured into the professional theater scene, securing equity contracts and touring with a children's theater. My experience encompasses a rich tapestry of roles, including Bolingbroke in "Richard II," Oliver in "As You Like It," and Alvin in the musical "The Story of My Life."

A Multifaceted Artist:
With an MFA in Acting, years of training in acting, voice, and movement, I bring a multifaceted approach to teaching. My extensive journey includes performing in numerous plays, exploring the nuances of Shakespeare, and even venturing into filmmaking.

Skills in Focus:
Acting: Years of professional theater experience, including Shakespearean roles, equipping me with a profound understanding of character and storytelling.
️ Voice: Training in the Fitzmaurice Technique, enhancing my vocal presence and expression on and off the stage.
Movement: Blending yoga, anatomy, strength & conditioning, and boxing to understand the profound connection between body and emotion.
